Dekina/Bassa house of representative candidate under the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, has today suspended a planned homecoming rally in Abocho, his hometown.
According to reports emanating from numerous sources, some miscreants loyal to the ruling All Progressives Congress are believed to be hatching the assassination of the leading candidate in Dekina/Bassa house of representative tussle, Comrade Usman Austin Okai.
This development was further confirmed as the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, candidate took to his Facebook page to raise alarm over plots to have him taken off ahead of next week’s Presidential and house of representative elections.
Okai was quoted as saying, “ABOCHO on Fire :APC house of Representative candidate Paul Gowon Haruna IJN in connivance with Dekina local government chairman sent some foreigners to Abocho to Assassinate me this afternoon. Dekina APC youth leader one Idiye Mopol is the camping officer for his heinous attempt.
The political activist in another post called for the cancellation of the planned rally, adding that it’s an attempt to pervert a bloodbath in the area.
