Inside StoryBreaking News: Popular Nollywood actor Quadri Oyebamiji Sisi has passed away, few days after burying his beloved mother.

Quadri Oyebamiji, widely known as Sisi Quadri in the Nollywood circles, has tragically passed away, marking yet another somber chapter barely a year after the loss of his beloved mother.

The heartbreaking news of Sisi Quadri’s demise was relayed by his colleague, Adekunle Abolade, popularly known as Dodo Ede, through a poignant Facebook post on Friday, March 1, 2024. Abolade’s words echoed the collective grief as he bid farewell to the seasoned actor, reminiscing about a recent portrayal in the “Anikulapo Series,” which now seemed eerily prophetic.

Sisi Quadri, a luminary in the realm of comedic acting, departed this world not long after laying his mother to rest. The poignant tribute he penned to his late mother, just days before his own passing, serves as a poignant reminder of the depth of his loss and the enduring bond they shared.

Emerging into the spotlight with his memorable performance in the 2004 movie “Seniyan Seranko,” Sisi Quadri captured hearts and garnered acclaim for his comedic prowess. Despite a hiatus from the industry, he staged a triumphant return in the 2020 hit comedy “Ebudola,” where his collaboration with close friend Funmi Awelewa propelled him back into the limelight.

His talent transcended the silver screen, as evidenced by his recent involvement in the acclaimed Netflix series “Anikulapu: The Rise of the Spectre,” solidifying his status as a versatile and enduring force in the entertainment industry.

Born on December 26, 1979, in Iwo, Osun State, Quadri Oyebamiji leaves behind a legacy etched in laughter and a profound impact on those who had the privilege of witnessing his talent firsthand. As the curtain falls on his remarkable journey, his memory will continue to resonate, immortalized in the hearts of fans and colleagues alike.

In the wake of Sisi Quadri’s untimely departure, the Nigerian entertainment landscape mourns the loss of a true icon, whose contributions enriched the cultural tapestry of Nollywood and beyond. May his soul find solace in eternal rest, and may his legacy endure as a beacon of inspiration for generations to come.
